Discover the Circular Economy: Jobs and Skills in a Non-linear World

January – February 2023

Thank you for registering for the microlearning programme "Discover the Circular Economy: Jobs and Skills in a Non-linear World", organized by UNESCO-UNEVOC in collaboration with Circle Economy. The microlearning programme will be available online from 11 January to 28 February 2023. This webpage allows you to access the course training materials.

Project background

UNESCO-UNEVOC has developed a project to support TVET institutions and training providers in implementing measures to adapt to an accelerated digitalization phase and the greening of education, training and work. The programme seeks to strengthen the capabilities of TVET personnel, institutions and training providers in guiding young people in their entry or re-entry to job markets and entrepreneurial ventures, with a focus on youth affected by unemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the uptake of circular economy principles to move towards a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable post-pandemic recovery.

Specifically, the work aims to:

  • Support TVET personnel to raise their professional and institutional capabilities to adopt green and circular economy approaches for skills for employment and self-employment
  • Enhance the knowledge and competencies of TVET graduates and other individuals in the workforce category in areas that can accelerate an inclusive, green and resilient post-pandemic recovery by designing and delivering upskilling programmes on circular economy

About the microlearning

This microlearning is a short upskilling training to expand your knowledge of the circular economy, focusing on jobs and skills. It is self-paced learning, meaning you can follow the course and proceed from one segment to the next according to your time and schedule. To find out when the webinar begins in your time zone, you can check https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/. During the webinar, you can interact directly with an entrepreneur active in the circular economy field and ask questions to the experts from Circle Economy. The microlearning will have approximately 4.5 hours of educational content with a mix of individual learning and the group webinar. At the end of the microlearning, you will receive a certificate. Participation in all the sessions is mandatory to obtain the final certificate.
