The Higher Education Council (CES) is the governing body responsible for planning, regulating and coordinating Ecuador's Higher Education System, fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the Executive Branch and society to ensure accessible, high-quality education that drives national growth. CES strives to consolidate an excellent Higher Education System by exercising its constitutional and legal powers, promoting academic and professional excellence through scientific and humanistic approaches. It aims to address national challenges, contributing to sustainable development and societal well-being while upholding the constitutional principles of higher education institutions.
