Dong Thap Community College is a public vocational education and training institution that contributes to developing skilled human resources aligned with local and regional socio-economic needs. The college offers intermediate and associate degree programmes across a broad range of fields, including technology, engineering, economics, agriculture, aquaculture, electricity, electronics, mechanics and construction. It delivers 21 college-level programmes, including internationally and regionally benchmarked courses in areas such as automotive technology, metal cutting, food technology, plant protection and aquaculture.

The institution serves over 3,000 learners in full-time and part-time programmes and operates in accordance with national regulations under the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. Its core functions include curriculum development, training delivery, student support, staff development and quality assurance. The college also collaborates with industry and education partners, promotes career guidance and entrepreneurship, and engages in applied research and technology transfer to support vocational education and training.
