The Chamber of Skilled Crafts Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Stade (HWK-BLS) is a public law institution representing and supporting the skilled crafts sector in northern Germany. As part of Germany’s system of self-governance, it serves as a competent partner for small and medium-sized enterprises, providing services in vocational education and training, business development and sector representation.

HWK-BLS delivers initial and continuing training through its modern vocational training centres, offering courses, examinations and qualifications up to master crafts level. It maintains the crafts and apprenticeship registers, organizes examinations and works closely with companies, vocational schools and public authorities to ensure the quality and relevance of training.

In addition, the Chamber promotes lifelong learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship, while supporting international cooperation and mobility initiatives in VET. Through partnerships and exchange programmes, it contributes to the development of skilled workforces both nationally and internationally.
