Since 2020, the name of PPPPTK BMTI has changed to BBPPMPV BMTI (Center for Quality Assurance Development of Vocational Education in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering). This institution is responsible to the Directorate General of Vocational Education.
As a government institution, the Centre bears the duties of development and empowering educators and educational personnel for secondary vocational school. This has brought about more opportunities for the Centre to carry out development programs as a highly vital sub system of education in Indonesia.
