UNEVOC Network

The TVET Department of the Ministry of national education, childhood and youth prepares, organizes, monitors and develops every single activity relating to educational policy in the domain of TVET. In this context, it relies on a cooperation between the professional corporations on one hand, as well as the training institutions on the other hand, in order to provide a better integration in both a social and a professional sense.

In Luxembourg, vocational training covers three 3 parts:

- Initial training (formation initiale) within the frame of secondary technical education;

- Continuous vocational training (formation professionnelle continue) in the context of life-long learning;

- Accreditation of prior learning and experience (VAE - validation des acquis de l’expérience) leading to a professional certification through the recognition of skills acquired during prior paid or unpaid activities.
