Preah Kossomak Polytechnic Institute (PKPI) was established according to Sub-Decree No. 10 of the Royal Government of Cambodia dated October 24, 2001. Its vision is to become the best institute for training technical and vocational skills to develop human resources. It aims to expand both quantity and quality and efficiency for technical and business skills training to meet the needs of the labor market, both domestically and regionally. Its main area of activity and specialization focuses on developing skills standards for all courses (technology and business), complying with the needs of industries.

A) Formation: The Institute provides its customers with multi-level, multi-field education and training, including:

-Master Degree Programs in Civil Construction, Electronics, Electricity, and Business Administration

-Technology Bachelor Degree Programs in Civil Construction, Electronics, and Electricity

-Business Bachelor Degree Programs in Accounting, Marketing, and Management

-High Diploma Programs in Civil Construction, Electronics, and Electricity

-Associate Degree Programs in Accounting, Marketing, and Management

-Technical and Vocational Certificate Programs in Civil Construction, Electronics, and Electricity

B) Development Program: The development program is based on skills standard development with a modular and credit-based system of evaluation. Teachers and instructors are retrained with new technology. Teaching aids are prepared by instructors. The training course is divided into three parts: theory, practice, and internship training. The curriculum is developed by a working group of instructors in its field and is modified or updated depending on the needs of the industry or market. The quality of training is assured by the testing and examination committee and accredited by the National Training Board.
