The third edition of the World Guide to Higher Education gives a myriad of details concerning systems of higher education in some 161 states. The reader will find specific information concerning the structure of higher education systems, the institutions which make up the various systems of higher education described, the degrees, diplomas and qualifications awarded, and the requirements for entry at every level.

A careful examination of the information provided for each country will allow the reader to evaluate the academic and professional qualifications awarded in various countries.

This work is intended to contribute to the international mobility of all those with higher education qualifications by facilitating recognition or acceptance of "foreign" qualifications.
