The Revised Recommendation concerning Technical and Vocational Education (2001) provides a set of guidelines for Technical and Vocational Education Policy. Its articles cover the scope of the convention (Article 1), objectives of technical and vocational education (Article 2), policy, planning and administration of technical and vocational education (Article 3), TVET aspects of general education (Article 4), TVET as preparation for an occupational field (Article 5), continuing education (Article 6), guidance (Article 7), the learning process (Article 8), teaching and administrative staff (Article 9) and international cooperation (Article 10)

The convention has been drawn up in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish.
