A Chamber of Crafts represents the interests of the trades in the form of a corporation under public law. All proprietors of a trade or similar business are members of the Chamber of Trades for that given area.

Chambers of crafts are key institutions in the governance of many (mostly European) countries' TVET systems, most prominently in Germany's Dual system (in German: Handwerkskammer, or HWK for short).
