Competency element

Parent term: Competence/y

The fundamental component or part or basic building block of a unit of competency (competence standard) and which describe the key activities or elements of the work covered by a particular occupation / trade / job. Assessments are carried out at the element level by virtue of the corresponding criteria for each.(Similar definition used by NCVER. See "Elements of competency")
