L’Assemblée générale des Nations Unies a proclamé le 24 janvier Journée internationale de l’éducation, afin de célébrer le rôle de l’éducation pour la paix et le développement. Sans une éducation inclusive et équitable de qualité et des opportunités tout au long de la vie pour tous, les pays ne parviendront pas à réaliser l’égalité des genres et à briser le cycle de la pauvreté qui laisse de côté des millions d’enfants, de jeunes et d’adultes.
