A Competency Module should describe: 1.distinct work activity 2.work outputs expected, not what is put into the work 3.outputs that can be demonstrated and assessed at work 4.precise criteria 5.scope of the standard 6.guidelines for assessors on how to assess against the standard. The four Competency Modules making up a Competency Development Framework are core competence, support competence, general competence and personal / behavioral (or attitude) competencies.
