TVETipedia glossary

UNESCO-UNEVOC's TVETipedia is more than a glossary. It is a collection of almost 1,500 terms that are relevant in the area of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) policy. It also includes information on normative instruments, international TVET actors and Regional Qualifications Frameworks. The aim of this glossary is to help create a common TVET language and to reduce misunderstandings in global TVET discussions. This will improve communication, discussion and debate amongst TVET experts from different parts of the world. The glossary does not cover specific technical terms that are used in TVET fields like construction industry, agriculture, hospitality, welding etc.

For each term, the glossary provides one or more definitions from a variety of reputable sources. For every definition, a reference is provided and linked. Icons signify the nature of the respective source:

TVETipedia is also available in French and Spanish, with a growing number of terms.
