Project inception

The project’s inception phase started in January 2024 and concluded in September 2024. The goals of the inception phase were to validate the project’s overall approach and logical framework and to confirm or adjust the quantitative and qualitative targets and deliverables. UNESCO carried out various activities and tasks during this phase:

• A review of the project documents
• Updating of the project results matrix, target groups, and relevant activities assessments of the needs of the relevant departments of the beneficiary organisation
• A desk review and observation of the general trends and needs of the Iranian market relative to the project scope and training sectors of ITC
• Scoping missions & planning meetings
• Validation visits, benchmarking, and several rounds of interviews with relevant heads of ITC departments and their staff
• Preparation of an Inception Report
