Šolski center Nova Gorica becomes Slovenia’s first UNEVOC Centre
Šolski center Nova Gorica (ŠCNG) was officially inaugurated into the UNEVOC Network on 20 June 2025, becoming Slovenia’s first UNEVOC Centre. On 19 March 2025, a virtual learning visit was organized by the European Training Foundation in collaboration with UNESCO-UNEVOC and the Bundesinstitut für Berufsbildung (BIBB – UNEVOC Centre in Germany). In December 2024, 15 new UNEVOC Centres from 14 countries joined the UNEVOC Network to advance international partnerships and sustainable development. The new members are ministries, national bodies, training providers and research institutions from Cambodia, Chile, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Georgia, Germany, India, Kiribati, Mauritius, Rwanda, Senegal, Slovenia, South Africa and Tunisia.

BILT Learning Lab - VR in vocational education and training - promises and pitfalls
This last Learning Lab of the year will look at how to harness extended reality (XR) technologies, with a focus on virtual reality (VR), in TVET. Three examples will be spotlighted: VR Simulator for Wastewater Treatment Plants in Vietnam, VR training applications for welding students in Germany, and Creating a VR lab for construction courses in Ghana.
